June Monthly Favorites

July is only a few days away and I’m very excited because it is by far my favorite month of the year. I am usually busy all month long and sadly it always goes by way too fast.

Independence Day is one of my favorite holidays since I always spend the weekend with my family in rural Wisconsin soaking up the sun, enjoying the pool, drinking delicious cocktails, eating great food and spending time with some of the people I love most.

There are five people in my family with birthdays in the month of July, including my own birthday and several good friends have birthdays in July too. Therefore it sometimes seems like a never-ending month of celebrations and parties. It is always so much fun and I always feel slightly gloomy when the month is over, but I enjoy it while it lasts.

Let’s wrap up June with my list of favorites for this month.

1.) Entourage- This month I signed up for HBO NOW specifically because I have been wanting to watch Entourage for a very long time and now with HBO’s new app it is available to anyone who wants to pay the monthly subscription, as well as all of HBO’s shows and movies. For those of you who aren’t familiar with Entourage it is a television series which centers around four guys who have been best friends since childhood. Originally from New York they move to Los Angeles in the hopes that they will make something of themselves in the film industry. The show stars Adrian Grenier, Kevin Connolly, Jerry Ferrara, Kevin Dillon and Jeremy Piven, the dynamic between these characters makes it the ultimate bromance. I found the show so entertaining that I finished all eight seasons in one month.

2.) Deflex Comfort Gladiator Wedge-My mom had originally purchased these sandals for herself but she didn’t like the way they fit so when I tried them on I decided I wanted to keep them for myself. They are extremely comfortable and super cute. You can dress them up or down and they are very versatile. She ordered them online (click the link above) and currently they are on sale! Bonus!

3.) Bright Crystal Absolu Eau De Parfum by Versace– This perfume costs $84 for less than 2 ounces! It is incredibly expensive and I wish I had known that before I fell in love with it. I got it as a free sample in an order from Sephora; they’re no dummies, getting me hooked on this absolutely beautiful and ridiculously expensive scent. The perfume has notes of Yuzu, Pomegranate, Raspberry, Peony, Magnolia and Lotus flowers, Vegetal Amber, Deep Acajou Wood and Musk. It is subtle and it lingers all day, I have received so many compliments while wearing this perfume and I feel beautiful when I wear it. Now I have to decide if it’s really worth the cost because my tiny little bottle is empty, so sad.

4.) Redken One United-This is an All-In-One Multi-Benefit Treatment, at least that’s what the bottle says. I use it as a leave in conditioner but the bottle actually says you are to rinse it out after applying it to your shampooed hair. I recently bleached my locks so they are a bit drier than I am use to, therefore I needed something more than a regular conditioner, which just wasn’t cutting it. So my stylist recommended I try this product and I love it. It instantly made my hair so much shinier and softer.

5.) Sally Girl Nail Color in the shade Girly Girl-I own these nail polishes in a bunch of different colors, but Girly Girl is my favorite because it is a natural nail color and it looks so polished. I’ve been wearing this shade on my fingers and my toes all month long, it’s just that beautiful that I haven’t wanted to wear anything else yet. These are probably my favorite polishes on the market. I love the variety of colors, I like the formulation, they’re affordable and I love the size of the bottle. It makes them perfect for traveling because they take up next to no space in your toiletry bag and your polish won’t go bad before you have a chance to use it up.

6.) Certified Organic Prairie Handcrafted Vodka-My brother introduced me to this vodka a few months ago but I saw it in my local liquor store when I went in to replenish my vodka supply so I purchased it instead of my usual Absolut. This beautiful liquid is produced and bottled by Ed Phillips & Sons Co. in Princeton, Minnesota, USA. I absolutely love when I see “Made in USA” on anything and the fact that this is made in my home state of Minnesota thrills me, especially since it is a quality product. I don’t know how widely available their products are, it’s very possible that they haven’t yet expanded their business outside of the Midwest but they also make a gin, which I personally don’t like any gin and a Cucumber flavored vodka which I am hoping to get my hands on soon. Click on the link above to check out  some of their delicious recipes too, don’t forget you need to be 21 years of age or older to access their website.

That concludes my list for this month, as always let me know what you guys are loving this month. I welcome any and all suggestions.
